At Erich's Schnapshausle, you will be greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked pastries mingling with the rich, slightly sweet notes of traditional Black Forest cakes. Guests rave about their authentic Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, a heavenly creation composed of layers of chocolate sponge, whipped cream, and cherries that will transport you straight to dessert paradise. Customer 'tori 101101' noted the "delicious" quality of this iconic cake, although they wished for some soft music to enhance the atmospheric charm of this cozy spot—an idea that would certainly elevate the experience.

A quick pop-in, as shared by Michael Spector, can lead you to an array of delectable treats, from rich and moist rum cakes to a variety of lesser-known regional flavors worth trying. As echoed by Cheyenne Blatter, the experience is always pleasurable, further enhanced by the intriguing liquor store attached to the cafe, which even features a museum. This unique combination makes it a perfect stop for more than just a coffee break—you can indulge in a rich heritage of local liquors while enjoying a sweet treat.

Whether you're indulging in a slice of cake, savoring a freshly brewed coffee, or exploring the delightful selection of liquors, Erich's Schnapshausle is a must-visit. It is a place where flavors meld with tradition, and every bite tells a story of the Schwarzwald region.

It’s always a pleasure to be at Erich’s Schnapshäusle. The store is quite big and they have a huge variety of liquor. The staff was very friendly. Inside the liquor store you can visit the museum. Right next to the store there is a cafe that sells the best Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. I can definitely recommend paying a visit if you are in the area.
